The apartment is on the Algarve in Portugal about 45 minutes taxi ride from Faro airport. It’s situated in Armacao de Pera with some of the longest sandy beaches in the Algarve.
It’s in the Quinta dos Arcos area about a 5-7 minute walk from the beach.
Although Armacao de Pera is not a large town there are plenty of excellent bars and restaurants and for the more energetic there are boat rides, bike hire & tours, water sports, nature and wildlife tours, even a cliff walk.
The tourist train (‘comboio turístico’) is a great way to travel around the town especially for kids. It only takes about 20 minutes and has several stops where you can board/get off.
There are 3 water-parks within 15 minutes taxi ride. Aqualand is the closest and ideal for children of all ages. Zoomarine is more than a water-park with it’s seal and dolphin shows, birds of prey and tropical birds presentations, aquarium and crocodiles. And there is also Slide-and-Splash.
